Artistic Adornment is a group of New England artists working together to promote the beautiful ancient artform henna (aka mehndi). Henna is traditionally done in India, the Middle East, and North Africa, particularly during times of transformation and social celebration. Many of the works you will see tonight are inspired by traditional motifs, but their placement and scale is anything but traditional!
